Ambassador 3 Navigation Overview

Getting around Ambassador 3 is pretty intuitive once you know what lives where. This guide walks you through each section of the navigation so you always know where to go — and what you'll find when you get there.

🏠 Home

Your home base! The Home page is where you'll find product announcements, your onboarding checklist, and a quick snapshot of your plan limits and usage stats. It's a great place to check in when you first log in each day.


👥 Audience

Everything about the people in your program lives here. The Audience section is where you manage contacts, organize them into segments, and track all their activity.

Contacts Your full contact list, all in one place. Add new contacts, import a list, search and filter, and click into any contact to see their full activity history. You can also personalize which columns show up in your table view — handy for focusing on what matters most to you.

Segments Segments let you group contacts by shared traits or behaviors. Use them to control who gets access to a campaign, filter your data, or target specific outreach. Think of segments as your way of saying "show me everyone who fits this description."


📊 Audience Activity

This is where you track what your contacts are actually doing in your program — from clicking referral links to moving through their referral journey.

Referral Links View, create, and update the referral links and codes assigned to your advocates. You can filter, export, and click into any row to edit the details. Need links for everyone in a campaign? Just add a landing page to that campaign and links will be generated automatically. 🔗

Visitors Every time a referral link or QR code gets clicked, it shows up here. The Visitors report gives you real visibility into traffic quality, audience behavior, and how your advocates' sharing is performing — no guesswork needed.

Referral Attribution This is where referred customers get connected to the advocates who brought them in. You can view, activate, or deactivate attributions manually, or update them in bulk using a CSV upload.

Journeys Journeys let you map out the lifecycle stages your contacts move through — and trigger rewards, messages, and reports as they progress. You define the stages, Ambassador handles the movement. Move contacts between stages using automations, imports, or directly from their contact profile.

Orders Add or import orders to track purchases, closed deals, or other conversion events — with or without referral attribution. Orders are the engine behind your reward automations, and they give you clearer visibility into revenue, LTV, and ROI across your program. 📦

Products Manage your product catalog here. Add, update, and organize products, filter by SKU or name, and use them in Automations to power more personalized reward experiences.


🚀 Campaigns & Automations

This is where your program comes to life.

Campaigns Campaigns connect all the key parts of your referral, loyalty, or marketing program — your audience segments, landing pages, rewards, emails, and more. From here you can create, launch, update, or end a campaign. Everything you need to run your program is just a few clicks away.

Automations Automations do the heavy lifting so you can focus on what matters. 🔧 Trigger them by user actions, scheduled dates, or events — then use conditions and outcomes to create rewards, send emails, update journey stages, and more. Start from a template or build your own from scratch.


🏆 Loyalty

Everything related to your loyalty and customer advocacy features lives here.

Tiers Set up tiers to reward long-term engagement and retention. Use them in Automations to personalize rewards and communications based on where someone sits in your program.

Badges Create custom badges to celebrate advocate actions and achievements — then issue them automatically through Automations. A little recognition goes a long way! 🎖️

Tasks Tasks show up in the Advocate Portal as fun, goal-driven activities advocates can complete to earn rewards. Use Automations to mark tasks complete, trigger rewards, send emails, or alert your team.

Marketing Assets Your central library for all your marketing and program materials. Upload images, logos, and files for use in emails, widgets, and landing pages. Want to share assets with your advocates? Toggle on Portal access and they'll be able to access them directly from their portal account. Assets added elsewhere in the product will automatically appear here too. 📁


📄 Pages & Widgets

Widgets Widgets are the advocate and customer-facing experiences you embed on your site or deploy on Ambassador-hosted pages. Start with a template, customize it to fit your brand, and install it with minimal IT effort. Widgets can handle enrollment, referral sharing, referred customer offers, email capture, and more.

Landing Pages Manage all your landing pages — both ones hosted on your own website and Ambassador-hosted pages — right here. The type of page you need depends on your program. Share Link Pages are where referred users land after clicking a referral link. Program Pages are where advocates enroll and start sharing. Promotional Pages are perfect for special offers and email campaigns.

Advocate Portals The Advocate Portal is a mobile-friendly web app where advocates can manage their profile, track their rewards and referrals, complete tasks, redeem points or cash, and access sharing tools and brand assets. Customize the portal experience globally or per campaign — it's your advocates' home base. 🌟


💬 Communication Channels

Emails Create, manage, and store all your email templates in one place — from welcome emails and reward notifications to engagement campaigns and milestones. Pair templates with Automations to send the right message at exactly the right time.

SMS Same idea as Emails, but for SMS. Build your message templates here and use Automations to trigger them based on the right moments in your program.

Communication Outcomes Want to know what happened after you hit send? Communication Outcomes gives you a real-time view of messages that are processing, completed, or queued because your monthly rate limit has been reached.


💰 Rewards & Payments

Transactions Your complete reward history — rewards, redemptions, ledger entries, and loyalty recognition for tasks and badges — all in one table. From here you can manually approve, deny, update, and fulfill rewards.

Reward Calculations Build reusable reward calculation templates for common scenarios, or create custom formulas using available data fields and math operations. Add them to campaign automations to put them to work.

Reward Policies Reward Policies let you set earning limits per campaign and add expirations so unused cash or points return to your budget. Every campaign needs its own policy — and you can clone one to reuse it elsewhere. 🛡️

Reward Catalog Your hub for all reward options. Configure your preferred reward methods — like Tango, PayPal, Shopify Gift Cards, custom items, and coupon codes — so they're ready to use across any campaign.

Fulfillment Methods Choose how you deliver rewards to advocates. Options include Direct Payment, External Fulfillment, Portal Rewards, Tango Choice Products, and Storefront Rewards. Each method has its own setup steps and works great for different program types.

Payment Vaults Payment Vaults control reward budgets, redemption limits, and available items per campaign. Create one for each reward method and assign it to the campaigns you choose — sharing budgets and inventory across all of them.

Payment Settings Fine-tune how rewards appear to your advocates. Set your currency type, customize your points unit label (like "coins" or "swag points"), and define how many points equal one dollar for redemptions.


📈 Performance Center

Dashboards Your one-stop shop for program performance. 📊 Dashboards cover Financial metrics, Advocate activity, Channels, Audience Activity, Journeys, Loyalty, Emails, and SMS — all with charts and tables to help you understand what's working and where to improve.

Scheduled Exports Set up recurring data exports from tables like Contacts and Transactions. Choose daily, weekly, or monthly delivery and specify which team members should receive the files — great for sharing data with your broader team or external tools.


⚙️ Admin & Configuration

Company Details Keep your company name, address, and industry up to date here — this info is used in your email footers and helps Ambassador personalize your experience.

Users & Roles Control who has access to your Ambassador account and what they can do. Add team members, assign roles, and make sure everyone has the right level of access.

Plan & Billing Review your subscription plan, usage limits, and billing details anytime. If something looks off, this is the first place to check.

System Settings Fine-tune your account configuration, including custom contact and order properties, currency settings, and points labels.

Notifications Set up webhooks to send data to your external systems, and configure email notifications for your team — like a heads-up when your Tango balance is running low.

Languages Manage language options and localization settings to support a global audience. 🌍

Domains Set up and manage your custom branded domains for outgoing emails, landing pages, the Advocate Portal, and referral share links.

Integrations Connect Ambassador 3 with your existing tools — HubSpot, Salesforce, Shopify, Stripe, and more. This is where you'll manage all your third-party integrations.
