Performance Center Overview
The Performance Center is Ambassador's reporting hub — the place to go when you want to understand how your programs are performing, where your growth is coming from, and what's driving results. From top-level program dashboards to granular referral and reward data, it's all here. 📈
Where to Find It
Navigate to Performance Center in your Ambassador admin left sidebar. The section contains multiple dedicated dashboards, each focused on a different aspect of program performance.
Sample Data Mode
If your program is brand new, the Performance Center offers a Sample Data mode. The first time you visit, a banner appears letting you know no real data exists yet — but you can toggle on sample data (realistic dummy data) to preview what your dashboards will look like once your program is live.
The sample data banner appears until you have at least one contact and one campaign in the system. Once dismissed, you can always re-enable sample data using the "Show sample data" button that remains available on the dashboard.
Sample data is purely visual — it does not create any real contacts, campaigns, rewards, or other records in your account.
Dashboards at a Glance
Program Dashboard
Your top-level program performance view. Shows key metrics like total advocates, referrals sent, conversions, and revenue driven — across all campaigns or filtered to a specific one. This is the go-to dashboard for high-level program health.
Journeys Dashboard
Shows how contacts are moving through each Journey Stage. Helps you spot where referrals are converting and where they're getting stuck. Essential for debugging referral pipelines and validating automation logic. See full article →
Advocates Dashboard
A detailed view of your advocate community — who's most active, how many referrals each advocate has made, and how their performance trends over time. Useful for identifying top performers and advocates who may need re-engagement.
Referrals Dashboard
Tracks referral activity across your programs — including shares, clicks, and conversions broken down by campaign, channel, and time period. Helps you understand the quality and volume of your referral pipeline.
Revenue Dashboard
Shows revenue attributed to your Ambassador programs. Tracks order volume, average order value, and total revenue generated by referred contacts. Requires Financial Dashboard access to view.
Rewards Dashboard
Tracks reward issuance, fulfillment, and pending approvals. Shows total rewards distributed, breakdown by reward type, and fulfillment status. Useful for finance teams monitoring program spend.
Communication Outcomes Dashboard
Shows how your email and SMS communications are performing — email delivery rates, open rates, click rates, and how communications are contributing to conversions. Pairs with the Communication Outcomes tracking feature.
Filtering & Date Ranges
Most Performance Center dashboards support:
- Date range filters — View data for the last 7, 30, or 90 days, or a custom range.
- Campaign filters — Isolate data for a specific campaign rather than viewing aggregate program data.
Good to Know
- Dashboard data refreshes regularly but may have a short processing delay — if you're not seeing expected data, give it a few minutes and refresh.
- The Financial Dashboard requires an explicit permission checkbox — even Admin role users need this checked to see revenue data.
- For deeper analysis, export data from the dashboard and combine it with your CRM or analytics tools.
